Themes
Children will learn about empathy and helping out, while adults will find relatable situations and, perhaps, be reminded that there is joy even when things do not go as planned.
Adults often try to make the holidays perfect for their children, from crafts to cookies, to outside decorations. Then there is the process of picking out the perfect gift for everyone. Tuula has captured the feelings of an overwhelmed mom with accuracy.
This is a wonderful book to read during the holiday season to remind families of what is really important about the season.

The Perksons' enthusiasm for celebrating Christmas through themed décor and thoughtful gifts will spark joy among readers. The fiasco surrounding the gifts was hilarious, and I was amused at the irony of the situation.
I loved the whimsy of the characters, each adorable with their peculiar quirks. Be it a forgetful uncle, an opinionated aunt, a grumpy teen, or a neat freak artist, each steals our hearts with their unique personality.
Rautkallio demonstrates a distinct style of art that complements the story perfectly. Filled with vivid illustrations and cheery, festive vibes, Christmas Switcheroo is the perfect read for the holiday season.
